Eight years of setting stones, first.
Mai trained as a stone setter and spent eight years at a bench in the Jewellery Quarter. She started doing friends’ nails in the evenings and found it was the same work: small, exact, done under a good light and finished by hand. She opened the studio in 2019, and still does most of the nail art herself.

Every client has a fresh file and buffer, and they go home with you. Metal tools go through the steriliser between every client. We work under daylight lamps, so the colour you choose is the colour you leave with.

holds any appointment, and it comes off your bill on the day.
24 hrs
between a free ten-minute patch test and your first lashes, lift or tint.

Moving or cancelling
Give us 48 hours and your deposit moves with you. With less notice, the deposit is kept.
Running late
Up to 10 minutes late, you’ll have the whole treatment. Later than that, we’ll do what fits in the time left, so the next client isn’t kept waiting. More than 20 minutes late, we’ll rebook you and keep the deposit.
Getting up to the studio
We’re up one flight of stairs, and there is no lift. If stairs are hard for you, tell us when you book.
Aftercare
Looking after your nails
Cuticle oil every day, and gloves for cleaning and washing up. Please don’t pick or peel gel off: come in for a soak-off. Builder gel wants an infill every three to four weeks.
Looking after your lashes
Keep them dry for 24 hours, use an oil-free cleanser and brush them through every morning. Please don’t pull them out: we’ll take them off for you.
Lifts and lamination
No water, steam or make-up on them for 24 hours.
